My UW Adidas Ultra-boost shoe experience opened my eyes to this world, and while at the time I was pretty disgusted and angry, I now in an odd way kinda admire these people playing the system (though it’s a pity they can’t use their ingenuity and entrepreneurial skills for better things).

As @Swaye will tell you with watches, this kinda thing is happening with all sorts of luxury items...and shoes are no exception. It’s too bad because it really fucks over consumers who end up having to pay more than retail, jump through crazy hoops to get something, or miss out on the item entirely.

Is it wrong to think of this as arbitrage? Nike chose to underprice their products and he took advantage.

    Maybe I am too simplistic.
