Question for posters (looking for feedback)

I find it hard to believe that people aren't into watching video clips online when YouTube claims viewers watch over a billion hours of video clips every day. I watch way more YouTube than I do regular TV (by which I mean Netflix/Prime/HBO/etc.).
It's not that I don't want to watch a video clip, it's that I'd rather read an article when it's an information-dense subject (with exceptions for very well-done videos or subjects on which there is no article worth reading). Naked short selling? Gimme an article. Properly flashing and waterproofing a window? Give me a video.
Husky post-game breakdown? Article.
Removing the backseat from an F150? Video.
Configuring EV battery BMS? Article.
Check out my 70 mph E-bike? Video.
I think, when it really comes down to it, the big differentiator is whether it's information you seek or information that's served up to you. When my older brother sends me his latest "research" on anti-vaxxing, Holocaust denial, voter fraud, or Q, I'd prefer that written out so I can read the title and then go do something else. When it's a subject that I'm interested in sometimes a video is the most efficient way to pack in a lot of information.
And, again, who cares? Just because not everybody's into Korean prank videos doesn't mean anybody's being hurt by them being posted. -

I have never watched a video on here -
Hurtful.creepycoug said:The reason the Club members prefer articles are twofold: (1) the written word in the Queen's English! tends to delve deeper into a given topic of intellectual discourse than, ahem, the "You uh Tube"; and (2) the members, on the collective, are able to read much faster than it takes to watch a video covering the same ground of information, as it were.
A reasonable inference to draw from this is that the Tug fellows and the "Duck" board subscribers may well prefer videos ... of everything.

Video has it's place. Pweston's meltdowns wouldn't be nearly as fun to read as they are to watch.1to392831weretaken said:I find it hard to believe that people aren't into watching video clips online when YouTube claims viewers watch over a billion hours of video clips every day. You should know by now that I'll never make this list. I'm mostly a dumbass and a lazy one at that. I prefer to partake in malarkey every now and then and, even there, my shit is mostly weak. I'm average at best and, believe me, it takes a lot of effort to just reach the middle of the bell curve. -
