SuperbadPretty big drop-off from the year before but still a solid lineup.

No Country For Old MenMy favorite from the list I guess.
REAL favorites from the collarge: Lars & The Real Girl, Rataoille, Hot Fuzz.
28 Weeks Later was a huge disappointed, shouldn't have been made because 28 Days Later could not be improved upon.
Sunshine has come up many tims on my favorite movie pod, mostly as a great movie with a terrible ending. On the flip, The Mist gets called a so-so movie with an amazing ending. Haven't seen, loved the short story. -
There Will Be BloodForgive me @PostGameOrangeSlices . In almost any other year, you'd have my vote.
But I was born in the Southern California oil fields.
-
SuperbadHot Rod deserves mention here too
-
American GangsterPGOS and 3:10 to Yuma
-
American Gangster
-
No Country For Old MenI've seen all but Atonement and American Gangster.
No Country and There Will Be Blood are both great flicks and probably in my tops of all tim. -
The Bourne UltimatumGreat movies this year, but I can watch Bourne movies over and over.
-
F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off...Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix gets the win!
Also special shout outs to:
Shooter
Hot Fuzz
Transformers aka Peak Megan Fox
Love the Bourne movies as well as superbad. I too have a problem drawing dicks.

I'm not even going to vote on this year. The Golden Compass was so disappointing that it broke me for movie watching.
ATBSJBS, No Country For Old Men put me to sleep. To me, Big Lebowski (GOAT), Intolerable Cruelty, Raising Arizona, Burn After Reading: That's peak Cohen Brothers. When they get slow, I'm out.
And Darjeeling Limited is my least favorite Wes Anderson movie, full stop. Almost left the theater.
A lot of good movies this year, nothing I'd call great. The Superbad dick drawing scene is one of the greatest things ever. Loved Hot Rod (it's actually my nickname at work). Blades of Glory also low key great for comedy. My vote this year is just "the comedies." -
There Will Be Blood
Derjeeling Limited is OK, but nowhere on the same level as Bottle Rocket, Rushmore or Tenenbaums.1to392831weretaken said:I'm not even going to vote on this year. The Golden Compass was so disappointing that it broke me for movie watching.

Strong disagree with No Country. It never lost my attention once. -
3:10 to Yuma
This is a great movie. -
SuperbadMy trusted assistant told me she was taking a different position in the company and leaving. Totally crushed. Was looking for tall buildings from which to jump.
Left work and wandered over to the theater by myself and bought a ticket.
Superbad saved my life.
-
SuperbadVote by default since it's the only one I've seen.

The upside of 2007 is that Emma Stone was over age 18.

There Will Be BloodChinteresting. I was not suspecting Superbad to challenge for the title this year.

This is the first time that I haven't seen a single movie on the list. I have 3:10 to Yuma on my watch list but never seem to get around to it. I'll watch that and No Country soon and report back.

There Will Be Blood

No Country For Old Men
Add There Will be Blood. It is a slow burn, so you have to ready, but so so good.chuck said:This is the first time that I haven't seen a single movie on the list. I have 3:10 to Yuma on my watch list but never seem to get around to it. I'll watch that and No Country soon and report back.

No Country For Old Men
Ben Foster is slept on. One of the very best actors. Best actor in 3:10, Hell or Highwater, and Alpha Dog.Gladstone said: -

Don't miss Leave No Trace then. I didn't love the movie as much as my more movie geeky friends did. However, tremendous performance by Foster, especially given most his other roles.RoadDawg55 said: -
American GangsterFoster was sneaky good getting his ass kicked by Marky Mark in Contraband
I'm hearing that a Mark Wahlberg pole could be called for -
No Country For Old Men
Not so-so good. But so, so good. Like great. Needed to be pointed out.BennyBeaver said:

3:10 to Yuma
Great point. In a movie with Crowe and Bale he completely dominated them and pushed the movie into greatness. He was also fucking terrifying and completely insane. Great villain. Spoilers in this vid so @chuck sit this one out:RoadDawg55 said:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtWY7AA-V-4
