Prohibit isn't punish. If they "prohibit" it by requesting that the student athletics not do it, they are engaging in their form of the 1st Amendment and surely you don't oppose that.

Can a coach tell his kids not to talk to the press without permission? Happens all the time. I'd have to read the scholarship contract the students sign. Students are under all kinds of speech repression or should be. No talking on phones in class. You think I'd get to play the national anthem during a lecture?
Only Merrick Garland and the Rat congress have that authority, and as Garland said yesterday, he is going to help Congress write laws limiting free speech online. Basically going with the UK model is my guess, where you get jailed for criticizing those in power.
