The counter narrative has always made more logical sense. Long and short of the counter narrative is that this shit was here way earlier than anyone realized. Way more people were infected than ever tested for and there was a large chunk of the population that had natural immunity. Reading the article there’s a lot about the logic that makes a lot of sense ... and I think that’s why so many aren’t fully trusting of the narrative
In the end, my very uneducated educated guess is that COVID will effectively be like the flu going forward where there’s going to be a balance of trying to leverage the spike proteins vs adapting to new variants as they develop -

This x100. So many states have managed to stay open preaching distance, mask and hand washing while others, some who have faired much worse, continue on lockdown. There is definitely a plan to keep things shut down. My guess is it is the covid relief bill and its inclusion of so many things unrelated to covid like free cash to pay down the public retirement plans, etc. We know one aspect was they kept things locked down so that Trump would lose.
