When dogecoin is over a dollar, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.
Fudgie, I don't care what they say about you. The Finance Board would be a better place if you hung around. You might learn something from these money grubbers along the way. Post moar.

In the past week and half I’ve been investing I’ve seen my original more than quadruple. Dumb luck? Maybe. Good research? Yes.
Cryptocurrency that was around half a cent nearly 6 weeks ago that’s climb over 9 cents and has stabilized at 8 cents over the last 2 days. Most mentioned crypto in internet history. Have you been living under a rock?
I honestly have not yet invested the tim to figure this shit out. I have a cousin who's a smart kid ... engineer at Micron. He's all over crypto. It seems there is a lot to know. Like, firstly, how to even go about buying it. Even that, pardon the pun, is cryptic.
I wouldn't mind fucking around with a few thousand, but I'm told that's not enough to play at all and I'm too cheap to roll the dice with more than that.

Lol bitcoin is trading for 43k+ a share right now. It depends what crypto you buy just like a stock. There’s penny cryptos too.

The majority of people who invest in crypto don't truly understand it because the technicals behind it are so complicated. I have a buddy who was going crazy about how the St. Louis Fed tweeted about decentralized exchanges (DeFi). He keeps telling me that DeFi is going to change the investment world and level the playing field for the little guy.....OK. I try reading into it a little and you might as well be reading an article about theoretical physics (see below tweet). I've found the same to be true whenever I dig into anything crypto related.

Unless you're using Robinhood that's not true at all. There's all different sorts of strategies as to how to store your crypto (online/offline, custodial/non-custodial wallets), partial coin investments (akin to fractional shares I suppose), not to mention the fact that people can mine for their own, solo or in pools. Then you have to account for risks that are true with any electronic systems: loss of data due to forgotten password, hacks, etc. There are obviously parallels, but to say it's the same is oversimplifying.
Edit: also worth acknowledging the lack of regulation, 24 hour trading, and different approaches to coins ((capped, uncapped amounts) and generation (proof of work vs proof of stake vs proof of authority)

Yeah I know what a satoshi is. I use binance. I don’t trust the security of crypto wallets even though that’s really the only way to truly buy crypto.

When you can double your money on fucking GM in four months I'm going with dumb luck. That and Elon.

Lol I'll give you an Auburndawg ironclad guarantee that good research is not to credit for whatever short-term gains you've fallen ass backwards into. No day-trading amateur who isn't an autist savant (and fudgie you may be a retard, but you're not a savant) actually knows what the hell they're doing when "picking" stocks.
Enjoy your gains, treat it like the gambling it is, and don't delude yourself into thinking you have a formula that's going to sustain you past a few good months. Shit, you posted this 11 days ago, so you may already be back in the red by now.
