All EA has done for the last decade is pump out dogshit Madden games and disappointing mainstream releases. I’m not optimistic.
That's because Madden sucks, and so does the NFL.
There's more crazy and cool shit you can do with a college football game.
NFL they could maybe add a fat dumb fuck fan simulation mode but that's it. Collectors edition gets your fat dumb fuck avatar a Let Russ Cook shirt at launch.

The NFL monitors any kind of likeness with absolute scrutiny. The NFL controls the shots to a point that they’ll even critique the font on the “let Russ cook shirt”. The NCAA isn’t as anal and allows the programmers a little more flexibility.
It resembles NCAA 2001 enough to where I'll still buy it.
The craziness around "Why isn't my team X rating" just goes along with everything else that I hate with the current cfb offseason.
I'll do the same with this where if it sucks I will just move on. Back in NCAA's glory years, there was no Alan Wake 2 or something that was so great as to just crush it into oblivion.
I don't have much faith in EA. They have churned out shitty Madden games for 10+ years in a row now.
Not only that, but they continue to dump out a new sports game every year in every franchise. There's no reason we should have to pay $70 every year. Just update the rosters, update the features/graphics/etc with patches, offer some $20 DLC, etc. They should only be releasing an actual new game every 4 years or so, and it should be vastly improved with brand new animations and mechanics.
So consider me uninterested in CFB video games unless EA proves me wrong or until they no longer have a monopoly on licensed sports games.
I do agree that the college playbook and getting to recruit and all that is more fun, but my major hangups are about the mechanics and animations of the game.
Madden games, even the latest, suffer from a lot of weird glitches and crap that happen during plays that make no sense. Football getting deflected when it isn't anywhere near a defenders hands. Pointless catch animations when the ball arrives instead of the receiver catching it in stride . Horrible run animations. Defensive lineman breaking through with a clear path to sack the QB only for the game to trigger them to stop, turn and reengage with the OL. Quarterback going to the ground forward and somehow passes the ball 50 yards with a high arcing rainbow. The list goes on and on.
These issues were acceptable 15 years ago, but they have chosen not to make any significant improvement to them at all. All they do is update the graphics, record some new shit for the announcers to say, redesign the menus, and update the rosters/uniforms.
I'm almost positive NCAA will suffer from the same bullshit.
I'm going to buy it and play through a season where I'm sure every game in Husky Stadium will be dark and rainy, I'll be irritated the entire time that I can't play as the 2023 team, and I'll get bored of running the same 3-4 plays.
Maybe try an off-season of Dynasty mode just to laugh at how pathetic recruiting has gotten and how that translates.

The ratings hawt talk for a video game is gay and annoying.

Damn you and your 3 years and 5 months.

I bought it….. Im hoping pairing exclusively w/ ESPN doesn’t ruin this franchise altogether. HCH online dynasty?
seems like Nacho is raring to go..
