Question to people with DM.c accounts

DardanusDardanus Member Posts: 2,623
Serious question to those who have an account/post on dawgman-- why do you pay for the subscription?

For as much shit as everyone gives them, it seems like a lot of folks still read/post over there. I've never had a subscription and only logged in a few times with my friend's account, which is no longer active, so I am honestly not as familiar with what goes on over there. Not saying I'm better than people who have accounts...just explaining why I'm unaware. I've been even more in the dark since little dickus has had the crud (ts and ps).

I don't care if you hate money or legitimately want to read the insider stuff, I'm just curious about the reasons people have for keeping an account.

For me the end was in September ... But for the year leading up to that it was simply to battle my idealogical rivals on the board ... People like 14sFS ... And such...

I loved being told I was the 'worst type of DAWG fan' ... Etc .. I enjoyed baiting those dumbfucks..

Then I cancelled and they gave me 2 months free ... It was game on ... For about 3 days then Kimmy and I got into it and I was gone ...

I did not renew my Dm.c account last Summer, but I can say that I do sometimes miss the Insider reports on Husky Football. Even with obvious limitations such as Dm.c's oftentimes total ignorance of the game and their propensity for severe hyperbole, the Insider reports are still interesting and about all that's available in detail to Husky fanatics. None of that, however, is worth the time regardless of subscription cost. Dm.c could have been great, but it's not expertly done in regard to what should be it's mission or purpose and now seems likely to never be anything more than Internet garbage. Kind of sad really.......

Need to keep eyes on the enemy. My Grandpa who flew a blimp in WW2 (I call it that) told me all about it, or at least he told me he was my grandpa and asked me for a place to stay after I gave him a dollar.

I agree that it's kind of sad that dm.c is so shitty, because it would be nice for fanatics to have a place to go for insider info that isn't overloaded with morons.

While HH is perfect for a degenerate like me (good info, humor, and a reasonable monthly rate), I understand that not everyone enjoys the vulgarity.

99.81% of all insider info is bullshit.

The rest is intentional misinformation from recruits who want to fuck with Ecktard and company.

Someone throw Marshall a few bucks (you know doogman doesn't have money to spend on (male) interns) and get him over here.

I don't know how much Derek had invested in this site so far, but it's worth thinking about getting some kid to work half time covering practices and recruiting.

Once there is "inside info" available here, the war will truly be over. Lots just, because they are insane fanatics about all things husky, can't pull the trigger on missing out on TBS.

There's an 81% likelihood that I'll be taking a fairly lengthy break after signing day

Tailgater come on. The place bites. Has for years. And i was there before you, I've watched it grow and now collapse. It's done!. Been going downhill for awhile. Used to be the best fan site on the net. Now it could be the worst, literally and 100% fact. No reason to even be loyal. Those cocksucker's over there treat their cow heard like dead meat. Ironically that's what they've (dm.com) become...dead meat. Better send Heckman to the rescue or HHB will take majority husky market share

You may have been there before me, but I wasted my time on over 100,000 posts at Dm.c, most of which became hated controversy starting 10 years ago with the bloody Summer 2003. I truly believe that Dm.c and their little mag Sports Washington began to implode with Neu's firing and the start of our decent to 0-12. I'll never understand how Dm.c management and staff could make the decision that it was good for their business to propagandize and hype the crap that Husky Football had become into some kind of marketable mediocrity and worse designed just for doogs. Imagine what their business might have been had they focused on the negatives of UW trashing it's football program for no good reason and at least encouraged a community message board attack on all those responsible for the decline in our favorite football team? I for one would have relished and possibly become addicted for life to an Internet site that would take on the motherfucking Seattle Times and all other Puget Sound media piranha breaths who seemed dedicated for a time to Husky Football's destruction. Who knows but that the UW might have avoided the Gilby-Tyrone-Turner-Hedges nightmare by cleaning house east of Montlake and hiring a CP caliber football coach ten years ago.
