Update from our STACKED db room -both Asa Turner and James Smith have been absent from practice for awhile. -Davon Banks, the new guy, has been sitting out since he got here. Dyson McCutchen is also injured. Walk-ons getting a lot of time in practice.
Our db stable is moving towards looking like our LB stable

TBF, we knew our 3rd and 4th best CB during the spring were walk-ons. Kinchen gave up scholarship offers to play at UW, and if Mishael Powell can play, let him play.
Elijah Jackson sounds like our 3rd best scholarship CB, and we'll probably see him at some point this year.

Feeling like it's pretty grim behind the starting corners.
Safety I'm less worried, which seems strange, but I don't really see Asa Turner as much of a loss. He'll just take reps that should go to Hampton and Irvin.

Eklund said on their pod that Powell is the first db off the bench. I mean, the kid might be great walk-on but that's not a great look.
Also, Racaneli was mentioned and Eklund kinda laughed and said "I know where he is. Don't expect him to be back with the team for awhile."
That's pretty fucking ominous. Could be he's refusing to get a vaccine

There are other bodies available that can play safety. Can't say the same about ILB.
But I wasn't serious. He's been playing corner. Safeties moving to linebacker happens from time to time. I've never heard of a corner moving to linebacker though.

Dom Hampton is playing S. Not sure who we have at safety after Hampton, Irvin, Williams, and Cook, but it's pretty thin.
Kam Fab shifted from NB to S in practice to give him a look there with Bookie established at starting NB.

After Edie and Jackson, if Heimuli is out a extended period (initial report not encouraging) we have his running mate as their back-up and then two redshirt freshman OLB's they've had to bring back inside (McDonald and Bruener) and walkons to choose from.

Reading them got a little blood routed to my doog boner
