I love the final paragraph: "And as an addendum, if they can get to respectability on the OL in 2013, the 2014 team is looking to return everybody, for what could be as many as 151 offensive line starts. That would have been #1 in the country in 2012 by a wide margin. If Steve Sarkisian and Dan Cozetto can't succeed with that returning, then I'm all for shooting them out of a cannon into the sea."
So basically the author is giving Sark and cozz another two seasons before "shooting them out of a cannon and out to sea." By then there could very well be a whole other list of excuses.
Hatchie- Decent talent, two cent head. He has a low football IQ which often can't be coached up. You either have it or you don't. Commonly looks confused out there.
Charles- Effort guy. I know he won the lineman of the year last year, but his pass blocking was terrible. He has potential to be a good player.
Criste- Just a guy. We played better with him at RG than Atoe last year, but he lacks strength/toughness. I am assuming he will start at Center this year.
Atoe- For a 2 star guy, he has performed up to his ranking. Very big and slow. I doubt he will ever be really good, but hopefully he can be above average.
Riva- Our best OL. Lacks strength, but played well for the most part last year.
Kohler- He sucks. I know he has experience, but he has never been any good when he has played. He was terrible at RT in 2011. Hopefully he plays G or C if he comes back. Has not really developed here either. He still looks soft and chubby.
Tanigawa- He was really good in 2011, but after two ACL tears, I doubt he will be the same player. I heard a rumor that he won't play this year and will retire.
Brostek- I know he was only a freshman last year, but he was in the Tripper Johnson/Talia Crichton range. He was comically bad. Hopefully he can recover and become a useful player for us. It's not his fault the coaches played him last year.
I do think the OL will be improved from last year (how could they not?), but they are still a bottom half OL in the Pac 12. Our recruiting has been terrible at this spot, and both the rankings and their play have shown this to be true.
By then there could very well be a whole other list of excuses.
Mind-blowing.
Wrong. It will be the same fucking excuses just reused.
Injuries. Altitude. The new recruits will be better. Bench pressing doesn't matter. They're still young. Keith Price has bad knees. Complaining about blocking is silly. It's noisy during road games. It's Rick Neuheisel's fault. It's Ty's fault. It's Turner's fault.

As long as the fans put up with this crap and, "Support the coaches and the team" reguardless of results, there is no light at the end of tunnel.

I could go on, but I have to go jerk off.
When he went down, Chris Polk's production dropped because everything had to go outside.
