Some concerning shit in here. Rapid mutation unexpected. @oregonblitzkrieg - viral genetic engineering in the works?

Researchers have watched SARS-CoV-2 evolve in real time more closely than any other virus in history. So far, it has accumulated mutations at a rate of about one to two changes per month. That means many of the genomes sequenced today differ at about 20 points from the earliest genomes sequenced in China in January, but many variants with fewer changes are also circulating. “Because we have very dense surveillance of genomes, you can almost see every step,” Loman says.

But scientists have never seen the virus acquire more than a dozen mutations seemingly at once. They think it happened during a long infection of a single patient that allowed SARS-CoV-2 to go through an extended period of fast evolution, with multiple variants competing for advantage.

In a press conference on Saturday, Chief Science Adviser Patrick Vallance said B.1.1.7, which first appeared in a virus isolated on 20 September, accounted for about 26% of cases in mid-November. “By the week commencing the ninth of December, these figures were much higher,” he said. “So, in London, over 60% of all the cases were the new variant.” Johnson added that the slew of mutations may have increased the virus’ transmissibility by 70%.

If true, will the Manditory vaccines created for asymptotic Covid work for Mutant Deadly Covid?

or, is it just like the flu where most of the time, the shot is worthless?

Well, we Were told back in 2017 when the pandemic was being planned that Covid -19 was just a trial run for Super-Covid in 2021

Most viruses go through this mutation where they get more contagious but weaker. I’m sure we’ll hear about the cases, but not the deaths just like always.

Exactly! But why is nobody asking the question WHY anymore? This fucking flu is not a great killer of people but now our federal government is running TV adds about how this is going to kill you. Mother fucker what the fuck is wrong with people today? Why isn't our government running adds telling us not to get into a car or a shower for fuck's sake? Old people fucking die people. Some healthy, young people die inexplicably from all kinds of things including the fucking flu every fucking year. Wake the fuck up you dipshit Coronobros or don't it's hard to think and act for youself.

If the spike protein hasn't changed, it's not big news.

As far as we know the vaccine will still work. It typically takes years for a virus to mutate to the point where vaccines have to be adjusted for it.

Not if the mutated version has already been tee'd up in the lab.

The flu vaccine is 38% effective this year.

There is no HIV vaccine at all

Sounds like the new vaccine mechanism will attach at several possible spike sites.

You are going to read and hear about a million and one variant viruses, because viruses mutate by nature. It’s scary, I know. But, a couple of amino acids is not the same a whole whole new virus strain in the way that we’ve been taught to think about flu.

What is happening, often times, is selective pressure. As the virus transmits it learns how to be better at transmitting. This is why you hear “circulating faster than last variant”...

But, don’t get in a panic over it. There will take a large amount of genetic diversity to completely make the current vaccines useless... And, here is why:

Unlike monoclonal antibody therapies, vaccines (especially those using the whole spike protein) make polyclonal antibody responses. This means that the antibodies your vaccinated body will make will be able to bind the coronavirus spike in multiple places... not just one...

Taking into account this, based on previous knowledge obtained from our MERS work, we opted to target the whole spike protein and cloud that baby with antibodies from every possible angle (added to mRNA-elicited T cell responses).

    Here is a simulation...

Me and my CDC antifa buddies.

This isn't fucking hard. Just read a god damn article you donkey. Or don't bother getting vaccinated. I don't care.
