The former is more surprising as they are intelligent, analyitical, data driven, reasonable guys (taking about the principals)
Here's the bottom line:
I used to think if you win they will come (fans in stands). Pete did and they still did not.
How Does any AD fix that? You have a product that people don't want/care about it and every year a couple of 1000 more Grey Hairs opt out and are replaced by people who are there to watch the game (if they come) as a Experience nothing more nothing less. Same as going to movies, dinner, concert, beach, etc.

It's not about sizzle for most of these guys. It's about winning the big games and championships. They are already banking on the NFL, so fuck the built for life shtick.
AD should be BOMBARDING social media with shit that makes it look like being a Husky is the best thing ever, not a fucking GRIND. Instead we have AD staff with #scoducks and #swooshlife in their bios! How is every employee social media account not monitored?!?
