My best friend turned 40 during this nonsense. Had an epic road trip planned to celebrate. *Sigh*.

I had the opposite thing happen. Huge blowout party for my 40th a couple of weeks before total lockdown. One of my happiest memories, and then the year spiraled into a total shitshow that just kept getting worse and worse since. At least I still have a job.

My beard has her huge 40th on New Year's Eve. It'll just be us at home doing nothing. Feel kind of bad about the juxtaposition...

Yep we had a big bash for our daughters fourth the last Saturday before things shutdown. Glad you got to enjoy yours.

I’m annoyed all my wife’s planning and hard work on my party isn’t gonna pay off for her but I took a long walk around the house to get some perspective and if my party for my 40th is the worst thing I lose in this pandemic when others are losing jobs and loved ones I’m pretty damn #blessed.
