He wasn't originally but he certainly let himself be marketed as a teen idol after that album came out. Appearing in the awful Sgt. Pepper movie with the Bee Gees along with his follow up to Frampton Alive pretty much killed his career.



Frampton was a legit rock and roll guitar player long before the success of Frampton Comes ALive but he committed career suicide shortly there after.
