You'd think the coaching staff would look at last year's game, realize that running a 2-4-5 against a team that wants to run the ball doesn't work, and adjust.

But no, UW ran that base defense for most of the game, had 2 safeties (including one of our best defenders in Molden) line up 15-20 yards off the LOS. We were outnumbered in the box all game, inviting them to run and giving them 6-7 yards every first down and almost always had manageable third downs.

Also, another game with piss-poor tackling.

Next week is the first time we'll see how the team bounces back after suffering a loss, but I don't expect them to come out against Oregon fired up.

Guess we'll end the year matched up against Wazzu since there's only 1 bowl tie-in for the conference this year.

UW were in prevent defense the entire game. Same as last year. Shaw knows how to exploit this

It changed throughout the game, and I support getting the best 5 DB's on the field, but nickel is a more impactful position than safety in our defense. Molden is great at it too. Don't put him at safety.

I want to have our best blitzer A) one year not start from Bellevue to get to the qb, and not be our slot corner.

Asa Turner should be retrieving the kicking tee after kick-offs, not starting. Maybe Jimmy knows this that's why he plays him 50 yards off the line of scrimmage.
