I'm told UW was lucky to avoid Cal

Who has about -10 yards of offense against the clear worst/2nd worst team in the conference.

Garbers who everyone feared all summer is 2 for 5 with 10 yards and just threw an aids filled duck into the turf.

Cal is also breaking in a new pro style offense. Unlike us their OC was actually a coordinator in the NFL but the results have been the same.

The results haven’t been the same at all. Not even close.

UW ran for 267 yards at 5.2 per carry and 3 tds.

Cal has rushed for 34 yards at 2.4 per carry and 1 td in the first half.

And that is against a UCLA team that gave up 264 at 4.5 per carry and 5 tds to Colorado last week.

So sure the pass game for Garbers so far is mirroring the Morris pass game. But the results between the Cal OC and UW OC are not the same so far.
Fair enough. I was making the comparison that they both suck and are playing down to their opponent's level. Bruins are better than the Beavers.

But UW is the most talented team in the conference.

Cal’s offense sucked two years ago, sucked last year, and again sucks this year. If you are comparing your offense to Cal’s, then that’s a problem in of itself.

That was my point. They lost their defense but the idiot media and people like @DJDuck point to some senior quarterback or some total reach to claim that they will compete with Oregon for the North this year.

Points scored 116th 2018, 112th 2019. Yeah they aren’t competing for a conference title for a while. You aren’t holding teams under 20 week after week in the modern era.
