"Question coach. If your ego is too kick-ass to check at the front door can we just bring it in the room with us?"

How are the coaches supposed to be edgy without egos? How are they going to relate to inner-city kids?

Peetamus sounds like a motivational speaker, that should have a book and a tour. Sark sounded like a frat boy making a toast to his house brothers instead of his players at his pressers. Lambo (who i love to tears) was painful to listen to although the players loved him), Ty tried the dollar words but had troubles with context, Gilby was a disaster behind the Microphony, Neuheisel was a MASTER in front of a crowd, much like CCP. And look at the results (rose bowl and #3, although they beat The same Miami team who finished above them.)

There is a correlation to being able to speak and being able to coach. Players didn't listen to Ty's bullshit. They tuned him out. Kids didn't turn the Weaz out because he was fun to listen to and was really motivational. (he related very well to the players even though he had 25 years on them.), nor will they Pete as he is a powerful speaker, a 92-12 head coach, and a respected disciplinarian.

The Weaz got us to a rose bowl because of his ability to relate and motivate. Sark could relate but couldn't motivate. When times got tough, players looked to Sark for direction and motivaton. Too bad Sark was too busy studying his play card and wandering the sidelines looking for answers. Sark was the WORST gameday head coach/play caller I've seen in 30 years You can bet Pete will be prepared for EVERY SCENARIO on the field, EVERYscenario.

Sark wasn't prepared. He flew by the seat of his pants as a playcaller/HC. So glad that chimp is gone. We will beat SC 3 of 4 times if Sark iz head coach.  I wish we played them next year

He already has, things aren't looking too bright and spring ball hasn't even started. If I were Petersen I would be very worried about this up coming season. I am not going to say the implosion has started.... well you can put together the puzzle pieces....

I guess all the Sark haters got their wish. We lost a talented up and coming coach who is a top play caller and really cool, for a guy from a small conference who doesn't understand the value of media access and free pub. The program is going to fall apart now and I hope the anti Sark crowd is happy. So sick of selfish people who don't have the best interests of the program at heart and are only in it for themselves.
I wonder what all those batshit crazy assholes will say when Sark wins a natty in U$C(lol) while Peterson turns out to be like all those other BSU coaches who sucked after leaving

Everybody knows that since Dirk Cutter got fired at ASU, it's not going to be long before petermen implodes. Just like what happened with Mora Junior. He's already rubbing 'people' the wrong way.

His "Bronco Football" speech is the most impressive presentation I've seen from a football coach.

On a funny note I did get hammered at a Vegas coaching convention and Ty Willingham was speaking after 0-12 and he started talking about "building champions" and quite a few of us started openly laughing. He was obviously booked prior to the season.

We'll see how Peterman does in the big leagues.

I love it when guys get on a pulpit and tell people to check their egos.

That is complete bullshit and revisionist history. The players who Lambo was DC for yes those players did love him.

The players who played under Lambo when he was head coach fucking hated him. Derek kind of hints at that in his Rose Bowl book.

After Lambo was fired several players came out bashing on Lambo from Chorak to Kruetz to Dillon to Fortney, etc. So many more if you talk to them in private will voice their displeasure for Lambo as well.

This revisionist history you constantly have for Lambo is just giving everyone a preview of what Kim will be doing 15 years from now with Sark. Both of you will be wrong.

I remember the Lambo era quite well and I also remember the players not liking him at all.
