    From the OP MSN article:

    Capacity has increased since late September, so now 35.3% of regular hospital beds are available and 31.7% of ICU beds are available, according to the state's health department.

    It’s my understanding that ICUs were already maxed out prior to COVID, especially in rural areas. This gentleman was merely shining a light on an old problem. This article states about 36% occupancy:

    No one can afford to have ICUs empty...they are too expensive to build and maintain.

    HH just hates smart strong attractive women...have a few theories on that but probably not the best forum to speculate.
