I'm old enough to remember leftists claimed that George W. Bush was an unfit parent and responsible for his daughters "drinking problems" because they were caught drinking alcohol when they were 19 and underage. Speculation of their pending alcoholism that had been passed on by their "dry-drunk" father was a perfectly acceptable media topic.
