You are right about diverting attention, and that they know absolutely nothing in the recruiting circle. But knowledge isn't why. These fucksticks actually think they know stuff, they just don't want to try and explain the fact that Sark quit recruiting mid-season, and then pillaged any decent crap he did get and took it with him to USC. Basically leaving Petersen nothing to work with, causing the school to have only 9 commits with 1 being a four star with less than a month left till signing day. That would kind of hurt their "Sark is/was so awesome" stance.

If Petersen turns this class to average before signing day, that in by itself is worthy of a contract extension.
