I think Kearse is right there on the HAWK Mt Rushmore of receivers. Not that there are a ton of them after the gritty gutty Steve Largent but you look at Kearse in the post season and Super Bowls and he had a GREAT career. If Rusty doesn't throw the pick Kearse is a legend for the pass he caught on that drive against the Patriots

All that being said does he play for UW?

I'll never forgive Rice or Holmgren for that abomination.

One of my favorite Seahawk players. Would have loved for him to have stayed with Seattle and ended his career here. Best of luck to him going forward.

No question. It's basically Largent, Blades, Baldwin, Kearse. Galloway and Tate weren't there long enough but Joey gets extra credit for netting two first rounders. Darrell Jackson probably has much better stats but never really did anything when it mattered most like Kearse did.

Lockett and Metcalf probably end up on Seahawks WR Rushmore before it's all said and done. Lockett's probably already close.

The SB loss will obviously haunt my soul, and one of the biggest pain points from it is that Kearse's final catch on that drive is lost to time forever. It would have gone down as easily the best Seahawks catch of all time and an all time great SB play. Fuck.

So many clutch moments for Kearse here. Obviously Cal 2010, Apple Cup 2010, USC 2009 all come to mind.

The double OT game with a ranked Oregon State where he caught 4 TDs including scores in both OTs is an underrated one for me.

He was so good in 2010.

Kearse was one of the many players thrown under the bus by doogs as a reason we couldn't expect Sark to win in Year 1 or 2 or Year 10. How could he expect to use his offensive genius when he had such low grade WRs....who made the NFL?

A few years back I was lambasted here for suggesting he was the greatest Seahawks WR in history.

Probably fair. But still I can’t think of a single WR who had more impactful plays for the premier Seahawks teams of all time.

My only bad Kearse memory is playing Lakes in the 07-08 state tourney at Key Arena. We upset Mercer in first round then faced Jermaine and Middleton (also had a good PG) and they just manhandled us start to finish. Kearse had ~20 with 3 or 4 hard dunks without breaking a sweat. Very respectful on the court even tho he coulda trash talked us as much as he wanted... Kavario sure did lol. After the game I told him I'd be rooting for him at UW and he he said "appreciate that bro" and slapped five. Truly a classy dude.
