End the recruiting and program management stupidity

So its time to end the stupidity in recruiting and football program management.

So of course it's just my opinion but since this coaching staff has proven this year that they need some fucking clues i've decided to help by breathlessly stating the obvious since that seems to be needed.

1. Bring back the greatest advantage that we have ~ the Spring game that is free to all that attend at timed to be at 12:30 or 1 hour after the end of the last race on the Windemere Cup / Opening day in Boating Season. This is the greatest spectacle on Earth and is the coolest advantage in the history of college football. WTF.

Invite any and all of guys that are alumni, parade them around the stadium pregame, mingle on the bench with the players, have the most colorful players visit on the radio with the announcers [bring back Chuck Nelson], and add radio and TV for the game and advertise the hell out of the game even if you have to pay for it [you won't].

A package of morons moved the game to another date and then on top of that Petersen turned the game into such a worthless exercise as to make it not even worth the trip to Seattle for a recruit ~ absolutely the dumbest move on the planet.

Advice number 2. Now that we have established the spring game as a destination game for the top recruits in the west and a draw for kids, go all out to make early recruiting a giant advantage ~ and if a kid wants to commit early because they fall in love with the setting and all of the other advantages they can see, if the kid is high on your board and is who you are hoping for then for GAWDS SAKE, take the FKING commitment.

Let other schools play catch up and also encourage other top kids to join the bandwagon early instead of insisting that we have to play from behind because of the sacred notion of making sure that the kid has exhausted all of their recruiting options before pulling the trigger. Can't believe the stupidity of this coquettish choir boy mentality.

Again, WTF, this seems obvious but maybe I'm missing something. I can certainly say with confidence that this coaching staff IS missing something ~ and that is the signature from top recruits. [Cue mike drop].

Advice number 3. This is the same problem as not showing the other team your offense until the second quarter because its unwise to show too much too early while you are feeling out the other team. Meanwhile, you are down by double digits against the best teams both on the scoreboard and also in recruiting.

Summary: Get aggressive and get real. Its time to exploit obvious advantages early in the recruiting process and build some momentum before this program totally evaporates. And do the same thing on the field... try to kick their ass with everything you have got as soon as the opening gun sounds.... JMO of course, but the madness of what we are seeing now is jaw-droppingly bad, so maybe its time to start doing the obvious and see what happens.

And, by the way, hire some good recruiters while you are at it.
