And so it was written on the golden tablets, "Mittens, thou shalt put aside the ego and vote as the President of the Church prescribes....or you will get an ugly ass bitch as your celestial wife".
-
Mittens didn't actually say he would CONFIRM the nominee....Swaye said:Wow, never thought the loser would try masquerading as a winner. It's on. Fuck Murkowski and Collins. Do it.

But but but RGB's dying wish!RaceBannon said:The hypocrisy extends to both sides of course. A real everyone does it moment including Biden
The outsider Trump didn't promise anything or make any pronouncements.
Mitch didn't have to do anything in 2016 other than say fuck off we aren't voting.
At any rate there is no rule or law or reason not to move forward -
disagree

Also, I was right about Mittens, he hates Trump but he couldn't resist a conservative Supreme Court appointment that might rule on abortion.
-
Again, Pierre never said he’d back the pick only that it should come to a vote
-
Mittens only chance out was to say it shouldn't come to a vote and if it did he would abstain. If it is proper to vote, he will need to vote to confirm or he will be dead to the Mormon Church.
-
Who else are they going to turn to?
-
On abortion and first amendment rights for churches, Trump > Mittens.

The dems should take notes. Guys like McConnell and Graham are like kamikaze pilots. Everyone fucking hates them, and it may even cost them their jobs in November (though I wouldn't bet on it). But if the end result is that they won a 6-3 majority on the court, then that's a victory for them.dnc said:
Yep. There are certain GOP senators (especially those two) who will come out looking like major hypocrites. But Trump isn't doing anything wrong by nominating someone and Mitt isn't doing anything wrong by voting on them.GreenRiverGatorz said:Not surprising. There's no coherent Constitutional argument for why Trump shouldn't put forth a nominee. McConnell and Graham may have exposed themselves as the spineless gremlins we always knew they were, but that doesn't change the principle of the current moment.
