He’s right. The historical natural state of humans is poverty and dictatorial control. That changed in the 1700’s and is why America is called exceptional. Maybe this was just a very inarticulate attempt to say what I have stated here before... That Humans dont naturally trend towards individual liberty, that widespread freedom and security of American citizens is an anomaly in human history, and the framers of the constitution regularly wrote about the evils of a direct democracy system of governance and set up systems to combat authoritarianism from both the mob and the monarch.

But then again he is a leftist advocating for a dominating and overbearing government deeply involved in every aspect of its disarmed and impotent citizens lives while talking about the "un-naturalness" of democracy.

His comment that “we don’t run anything important by democratic vote except the government” sure seems like an attempt to condemn the system not praise it...

America is much more than the democracy Greeks had for a time. America recognizes people have natural rights that are not granted by the government. In Ancient Greece society took precedence over the rights of the individual.

You don't live in a republic or a democracy, but rather a corporate technocracy run by several layers of un-elected domestic and (mostly) international players. The hostile takeover was formalized in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve. Soros, Bezos, Gates, Buffet, Cuckerberg, etc., these are your true rulers, and they in turn are merely figureheads controlled by those at the top of the Pyramid.

America is no longer exceptional. The United Nations and the Cabalists control of the United States and all nations that signed onto UN Agenda 21 in 1992. It really doesn't work when you have a populace that's being encouraged and pushed to identify themselves by the skin color/sexual orientation/gender. It worked for as long as it did because of the values a majority of the citizens shared. Liberal elites used to believe in America and thought that there was something special about the country that newly admitted immigrants should be encouraged to learn about and embrace.

That is no longer the case, can you image a new immigrant like Illan Omar, who hates this country, being elected to Congress at any other time in our history then now?
