In defense of Hop, losing Paolo doesn't hurt as bad as it could since he didn't sign any recruits last year.

Can’t really blame Paolo after last years dumpster fire of a season. If your a one and done sure thing recruit you should go to the blue blood proven winner every time. Washington’s track record of lack of winning with those type of players has more than proven that.
Still stings to lose a guy with such strong ties to the program who went to high school two miles away. -

Absolutely painful to lose a kid like that.
He's also truly elite, unlikely McDaniels.

If we made good on our potential last year and make the sweet sixteen or better I bet he stays home. Thanks for not being good at school Quade / school not caring enough to keep him eligible.

He should be fired, and this is only reason #15 why.

Doesnt matter until Hop re-establishes the defensive, blue collar work, and team culture that had just started with Thybulle, Nowell, Dickerson, and Crisp....
Adding 5 stars one and dones and transfers when he clearly cant evaluate or manage them is pointless... -
It’s a loss but I pretty much agree. Every UW team that had a one and done has missed the tournament.Houhusky said:Doesnt matter until Hop re-establishes the defensive, blue collar work, and team culture that had just started with Thybulle, Nowell, Dickerson, and Crisp....

The thing is, that team was actually set up to possibly have solid veteran players. Stevenson, Tsohonis, Battle, Benzema (I think that’s his name), Roberts. Not good enough to really do anything in the tournament, but good enough that Banchero could have led them there.
