SPD has amassed over 150,000 signatures.
They say that the Seattle City Council is "panicking", but I'm not sure about that. I think the Council is doing whatever it damn well pleases. Just yesterday it was announced that they are eliminating the team that sweeps through homeless encampments.
There is a pro-SPD rally set for this Sunday.

If The Throbber was the Spokane Sheriff and a real dick, he'd target recruiting Seattle Police Department officers of color; no more non-supportive Seattle City Council, not gonna get screamed at by leftist nutcases, buy some nice acreage in Otis Orchards (OTIS, MY MAN!!!), live the good life. Stay in the same retirement system.
Same with any other non-metropolitan law enforcement agency - take the SPD's cream of the crop and let those fuck Council people deal with the consequences of their actions.
