I didn’t grow up in western Wa, but I heard him on trips to Seattle, and obviously later on. I have listened to clips of him on the radio, the timing, the phrases, the music...totally takes me back to riding in the car with my parents, and my old transistor radio...RIP
He told a story on Mitchs old show one time about Sinatra doing an appearance in Seattle. When the plane landed Sinatra walked out the door, saw that it was raining sideways and walked right back in and told it to leave. Couldn’t stop laughing.

The late Herb Mead told me stories of Sinatra dining at Canlis in the 1960s. That he would tip $100 to the valet guy, which was big money back then.
