Nine million school age kids in Cali and not one death from the chicom crud.
At one point it was reported that less than 50% of LAUSD students were online for learning. But the teachers got 100% pay
Online attendance per my @Sources was below 40% for OC. They get paid per head so there's going to be a reckoning. It's breathtaking to me that my friends who are teachers and administrators don't see the cliff they are headed for. I'm keeping my mouth shut and already have my deposit down for my kids next Montessori school when they age out of their current one(which was only closed for 2 weeks). Financially it's going to suck but how in the fuck they think working parents are going to manage elementary school kids "distance learning" is laughable. All the stay at home mom's just keep repeating "Well I wouldn't allow MY CHILD to go to school even if they do open!"
School choice is coming to California this next election.
One option I’ve seen for our local district: full online school on something called k12.com, and actual teachers available once a week. Strangely, no mention of property tax refund.
Fire all the teachers and give the parents a voucher. The good teachers will get picked up quick by the free market. Big bond levy on the fall ballot for the Portland Public School system. If schools aren't fully open, why vote for the levy? Really, why vote for the levy anyway. The Portland school system is in a free fall. Totally woke and no interest in teaching the basics.
Online learning is a joke once you subtract the rich kids and the kids of stable professionals who can actually facilitate it.
Kids in big urban districts already destroy shit with teachers around. Now they're just going to download bad rap songs on Youtube, malware games, porn, and play on Snapchat and Instagram all day. Also, how can a teacher teach 30 kids? I've done online meetings and it's hard to keep five or six people up without cut outs and buffering.

Every single kid in an "urban" district was gonna be a worthless shithead anyway. Fuck them all. Mandatory military schools at 12.
Pepperdine just announced that this fall semester will be virtual, in keeping with the governor’s K-12 decree. Both girls are taking the year off and will continue when it’s once again classroom based.

#ItsNotTheFlu
The flu actually kills kids.
Once upon a time, California public schools (K-12) were outstanding. Long ago and far away.
