They could cut "education" spending by a third and have a better product. How hard is it to teach basic reading, writing and arithmetic? Everything else is gravy. Look at the nation's basic reading scores and then you ask for more money?

New schools going up everywhere. Apparently these days you just can’t build a school for its utility, it has to be a palace full of amenities
