Jar of Flies - Alice In Chains
My GF loves Green Day, and her and I both have disdain for the others' musical taste. Therefore they suck.YellowSnow said:
It's got some catchy tunes. I don't think it holds up that well 26 years later though.greenblood said:I wouldn't rank "Dookie" the best if I heard it for the first time today, but man...back in middle school, when that album came out, it was the absolute tits.
Actually catchy is exactly right. They sound good in the background but bore me if I pay attention. -
Weezer - Weezer
I remember my having a GF phase. Summer time and living was easy.chuck said:

I remember having a wife phase. I didnt care for it. They're not really that different except that I could leave anytime now without filing any court documents.YellowSnow said:

Weezer - WeezerMy answer would change all the time, but the Weezer album is great.
I think STP Purple was released in 94 too and is easily their best album and when they proved they weren’t really a knock off Grunge band. -
Weezer - Weezer
It's a necessary evil for the successful raising of genetic copies of one's self.chuck said:

Superunkown - SoundgardenThis is one hell of a deep field. I wouldn't hate on anyone voting for Weezer, Jar of Flies, Dookie, Purple as RoadDawg mentioned or even Nirvana Unplugged (which I've probably listened to more than any of these although it contains the least new music).
Rock's final peak year. -

Actually the minute plus of excitement, when I grunted my son into the ex in the bathroom while guests sat in the living room passing the bong, is about the fondest memory I have of that experiment. I guess I dont regret it. -
Weezer - Weezer
Agree. I think 1994 is darn near as impressive as 1991. Sometimes I think Unplugged is Nirvana's finest recording and it's easily the best of the "unplugged" albums of the era. I vastly prefer Vitalogy to Ten and think this was PJ's best work.dnc said:This is one hell of a deep field. As someone who grew up in a cultural wasteland of Utah, it took me a few years to catch up on what was happening musically in the early 90's. By 1994 it was in your face. -
Dookie - Green DayHands down.
And still holds up today.
