Random killings happen in most large cities throughout the country, but in ATL armed protesters blocked a street and randomly fired into a car killing an eight year old girl. All it took was 75 shooting over the last several weeks to realize Cops are not the biggest problem.
This is Atlanta at it's worst. That poor little girl and her family. Black crime is horrendous. It is something you always need to be aware of when traveling to certain parts of the city and metro area. You teach your children to never go there if you are raising kids in Atlanta. Its not racist to point this out, it is for the safety of those you love and care for. The danger of being in those areas of town are backed up by cold hard statistics.
Where were the cops and our mayor when the huge street party and burnout contest was taking place on Auburn and Edgewood, just a few blocks from MLK's birthplace and memorial?
Oh yeah, and so much for peace and social distancing.
There’s a reason scapegoating has been around for centuries. Nobody likes looking inward to solve problems and fix yourself or your community when it’s much easier to blame someone or something else and play the victim.
I heard she shouldn't have been there if she didn't want to get shot at. Oh wait, that was just for white guys praying by monuments. Sorry, my bad. It's hard to keep up these days.
If Lance-Bottoms wants to keep remain as potential VP running mate, she will need to change her tune. Stacey Abrahms is ready to blame Cops at any time.
What is the Dem platform other than NOT TRUMP?
Violence in cities they control, knocking down statues which does nothing to help one person in any meaningful way, putting tens of millions of Americans out of work for an average virus, raising taxes on everyone, protecting Xi and China, nationalizing police, and wanting more war in the Middle East?
What really pisses me off about this situation is someone will get arrested, they will resist, a scuffle, more crap, and then the cop gets blamed because he didn't deescalate the situation. There is a large group in ATL when confronted for acting like that will ask "Why you gotta give me a hard time?" Same thing with the drag racing in the streets that is more rampant than ever, drivers doing donuts in tunnels, riding ATV's on commercial roads, weekend long block parties. They don't think they should be punished for this. They are just there having fun and not hurting anyone. Oh, until they do and someone is killed. Car wrecks, hit and runs. Stray bullets flying though walls don't care who they hit. Leaders rarely say anything- no one wants to be seen as the one putting a damper on things. Someone else will be right behind them saying kids should be able to express themselves. So, it continues.

Same crap was going in the hood in LA. Guys driving around with no license plate on their cars, open container, smoking weed in the middle of the day and then complaining about being racially profiled when they get pulled over. The rules and the laws don't apply to them. Many times this is what is being talked about when you hear about cops always hassling them.

No description of the suspects. Maybe a KKK attack?

Bottoms said she wants people to have the same passion towards ending community violence that they have for police reform.
“We’ve had over 75 shootings in the city over the past several weeks,” Bottoms said. “You can’t blame that on APD [Atlanta Police Department].”
