The actual Summer of Love and the 60's commune movement failed miserably for the same reasons. Bad actors joined the scene and preyed on the sheep as wolves in sheep clothing
Basically a commune was like minded people practicing local socialism and it still failed because human nature is undefeated. And most of the kids back then were a lot more peaceful than the CHOP kids today
The 60's commune hippie became the 80's yuppie making big bank because they were also rich kids with their parents money when they headed to SF. Poor kids were working or in Vietnam -
