So will Wallace be asked who the "simpleminded" person really is here in this scenario?

Appearing on ABC’s The View today, Wallace, NASCAR’s only black driver, was asked by co-host Sunny Hostin about the internet theories that the noose incident was “a hoax” or “staged by NASCAR to garner more support for the removal of the Confederate flag.”

Wallace said he was offended by the rumor but not shocked. “People are entitled to their own opinion to make them feel good or help them sleep at night,” he said, adding, “Simpleminded people like that, the ones who are afraid of change, they use everything in their power to defend what they stand for.”


Tell us more about the mental capacity of people who see "nooses" every time they see a rope with a loop in it.

I think I belong in a different era where gathering facts matters to those in power. We? had three years of Trump being investigated for election conspiracy with Putin, people who said one thing under oath saying opposite to liberal news, and over half of the country believed that completely impossible scenario. 5 minutes of investigation by anyone of the parties involved could have discovered the truth but they weren't interested in the truth.

"Hey, how long has this garage door rope with a loop on the end of it been here? "Do any of the other garages have a similar rope with a loop on the end? Oh, it's been here for as long as anyone can recall? And all the other garages have similar ropes on their doors? Maybe this isn't a "racist" hate crime."
