WTF!? Jood reporting no buyout $ from SC for Wilcox.

He says it's a "mutual agreement". Sounds like Woodward is still on vacation, and Pool Boy is running things.

Both signed a mutual termination agreement? Why the fuck did we just walk away from $1M?

UW never offered Wilcox a position on staff, so technically he has been let go by UW. Wilcox and his agent could have asked UW to pay off his remaining salary per his contract (which would have been around $1.5 Million) because he was let go by UW due to the fact he was never offered a job here. If Petersen would have offered Wilcox the UW DC job it could have been a different story.

They should've reassigned him to other duties within the Athletic Department.

Can't we just be happy we got Haden to pay to take Sark off our hands?

That's all the perspective I needed, and I didn't even have to take a walk. Hi Kim!

If they pay off his remaining contract he has to sit out the remainder of his contract? Correct?

Time to move on, I get it.

I would have held him to it on principle alone. SC would have eventually made the payout, which would have then paid off Tosh (no pun intended) and Cozzottooooa

The only coach losing of significance is Wilcox. This staff has better talent and resources to work with. I am glad the entire sark era is over. 9 wins is solid but 5-4 in conference. Idaho state was high school team and cal/Colorado total door mats.

The staff underachieved with the talent in place.

pretty sure the only reason Wilcox is so revered is because he wasnt Nick Holt bad.

he was average, maybe a bit above but he wasn't what some are making him out to be.

Oregon still seemingly scored at will.

Arizona state says Fuck you. They blasted UW too.

But really Wilcox is one of the better DCs. I'm surprised Peterson didn't do more to keep him.

here's what I think.... everyone expects Coach P to be here for a very long time and if I'm Tui or Wilcox, I recognize that if I do a decent job at my roll at USC, then in 4 years when Sark is met late at night... in a parking lot... near the team bus... at the airport... by the Smoking Man, then they are in a much better position to have a shot at head coach. Stay at UW and you'll not get the Sark raise and be relegated to leaving eventually anyway. Respect da (coaching) bidness.

I'm fine with Wilcox leaving. His actual record and ability as a DC pales compared to his reputation. His reputation was developed at Boise St. under Petersen.

Anyone who wants to be a part of Sarkisian's staff at USC is a vagrant (i.e., money grubber) and or a fool. When Sarkisian fails in his hometown, USC may very well clean house.

CP must not have wanted him or they didn't want each other.

We either let him go or pay his contract out.
