The high percent of asymptomatic cases and limited testing was pushing and inflated IFR before...

I’m not sure what a parroting simpleton does when confronted with the idea that a 100%+ increase in cases but no increase in hospitalizations is not only a massive decoupling of previously understood ratioed data sets but that it puts the hospitalization rate well below that of even the flu if the new numbers are to be believed.

The most obvious guess is that a change in classification or data collection techniques for cases is driving the change but if the numbers are being salted on the front side it will result in a self defeating argument on the backside with a lower hospitalization rate and IFR.

For those who still want to make this let versus right I spent the weekend in Hermosa Beach which is NOT MAGA country. It was a 70 degree weekend but there was plenty of volleyball and other malarkey on the beach despite it being prohibited. Mask use was under 50% and a lot of those with a mask have gone to the under the nose comfort wear

Restaurants have been open about a week and a half and demand was high every day and night

Anyway unless Trump is going to win California the idea of calling people with out masks Magatards and skewing "cases" to red states that the media hates is a losing proposition
