Biden is arguing in favor of the federal Crime bill he sponsored and Clinton signed that put millions of minorities in jail for non-violent offenses. The bill that Trump the racist finally reformed so someone isn’t in prison for 20 years for selling a joint. I don’t expect you to know these things. Your media fails you daily.

President Donald Trump signed on Friday the First Step Act, a bipartisan criminal justice reform bill aimed at reducing recidivism and refining sentencing laws and harsh penalties.

The US Senate approved the Act Tuesday with a vote of 87 to 12, and the House signed it Thursday 358-36.

The bill expands in-prison and post-release employment programming, includes components related to alternatives to prison for low-risk prisoners such as home confinement, prohibits restraints on pregnant prisoners, and mandates evidence-based treatment for opioid and heroin abuse, among others.

The bill revises the Controlled Substances Act’s harsh drug penalties, including a lowering of the “three strikes” rule for drug felons that had sent them to life in prison, now down to 25 years, and it changes the two or more felonies within the rule from any “felony drug offense” to “a serious drug felony or serious violent felony,” defined in the text of the bill.

“The First Step Act will help prepare cyclical inmates to successfully rejoin society and enact commonsense sentencing reforms to make our justice system fairer for all Americans,” said a White House statement.

Is this about public gaffes or the crime bill? I can respond to both, I suppose. I don’t think any rational person on the left is either comfortable or enthusiastic to have Biden as the candidate, but Bernie would have been an easy target for Trump and the GOP.

It’s not though. I acknowledge things he says now can be construed as racist and certainly things from 25 years ago to perhaps an even greater extent. Is he a racist? Is Trump? Are they just two old white men in their late 70s who are behind the times?

I don’t think the big tear for people is Biden v Trump, it’s Biden v Biden. I suppose that’s the goal of clips like this: turning potential Biden supporters off from him.

Again, Trump effectively ended segregation in country clubs by suing Florida and allowing Jews and black people in. While the Clintons attended a white only one in Arkansas...

No one had one bad thing to say on Trump and race prior to 2015ish. He was even awarded for being an ally to blacks.

Can Trump be tone deaf? Of course. Is he racist? I highly doubt it.

Someone posted a twitter video by a black man calling out that false narrative, he presented it better than I ever could. If they could find it that would be great. Was about 30 "if Donald Trump didnt like black people, why did he do x?"
