Maybe taking a guy who rode the bench in high school wasnt a great plan. Hopefully James Smith fares better.
He always looked completely lost the few times he was on the court.

His HS film looked pretty good. 7 footer who moved well and had good ball skills.
But every time he played at UW he looked hesitant and not athletic. -
Ya he had some nice highlights since he was a freak of nature. But not starting in high school was definitely a bad omen. He was on a good team but not too good to need a guy with his size and athleticism. I wanted him to work out really bad but apparently it didn't. Some guys have donkey brains and just never figure it out on the court.
