Spoken like someone who is rational and never been near poor from birth, but stepping on egg shells to maintain his "black card"
I agree with that take. Rivers isn’t talking for the celebrity players and is going to get shit for his upbringing but Doc Rivers came from nothing and the NBA made them generationally wealthy. Appreciate what you have and help others in need seems to be the point.

Duke basketball is all about the education. Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett, and Cam Reddish all got their Duke degrees in one semester. Prove me wrong!

I won’t be able to sleep until I get the Cam Reddish take on latest black guy killed by cops.

In Austin River's case it's his half-black card and not that it matters but his girlfriend is white. The horror of growing up the half-black son of an NBA player and living in an upper class white neighborhood. I can't imagine the troubles a kid with a famous NBA player Dad would have in a school where NBA players are generally worshipped. I wouldn't be surprised if some small old white lady once asked him to get something off the top shelf at the grocery store. Nothing says systemic racism like that. What a bunch of poseurs and useful idiots.

Participants of an obviously racially discriminatory profession complaining about systemic racism is funny.

NBA is 75% black!? As a systematically abused white man in America, that percentage is way too high and reflects the bias that has held white males off the court for decades, and has torn this great nation apart!

OK so since only race matters all professional sports must be manned/womened by the percentages of population by race.

    Gonna be some big changes!

How dare it be admitted that black people are more skilled at the sports than the other races. It’s almost like a systemic hierarchy, but I’d never call it so because apparently being elite at sports and making millions from it is lesser in society than my career Sales Guy jerbs as I spend my Guy Trip vacations on mostly sporting events or Vegas weekends with betting on sports.

Fuck it. Done. Pacific City Oregon needs money too.

I bet if Kyrie Irving was on a contender he would want to play.

Skill, intelligence, aptitude or any measure of the ability to do the job in question does not matter.

    ONLY race matters.

I bet if Kyrie Irving was on a contender he would want to play.

He only finishes seasons if he can be the perceived best player on the team, but someone is a close enough 1B to reasonably shoulder the blame of losses.

Or his standby, just become injured when he senses a leaky ship. Then just as it begins to go bow up, he emerges like a hero and pointlessly bails water like a madman for the last 30 seconds while the life boats are launched.

Did his team make the 22 team gay-off?

Tiered system to separate them? At what point was Mr Irving forced to sign his contract?

The problem is white guys grow up dreaming of being on a pro sports plantation so complaints fall on deaf ears

To the players it is a job albeit a high paying one

Just proves everyone thinks they are underpaid

I’m pretty sure that picking a time when half of the FANS of the NBA have forgotten about it, is a GREAT time to go out on a social strike. The NBA is MLB. People never thought that they could live without either.

    But now most could gaf.

They are nothing more than distractions for people until Football season starts.

I, for one, would LOVE to see them follow through with this.

Just move the entire NBA to China. Problem solved.
