Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Offense - B/C: This grade all depends on the QB here so that why I listed two grades. A lot of unknowns here but from a talent perspective we have a lot of weapons on paper. Donovan is obviously a big question mark here but from a scheme standpoint, if we stick to running a "dumbed down" offense that allows our best athletes to get on the field I would assume our offense takes a step forward.
QB - B/C: I'm assuming Sirmon is going to start. Obviously speculative but I think there is plenty to like from watching his HS film and looking at his athleticism and arm strength. The entire offense hinges on his ability to be productive and not throw picks.
OL - B: Our best 5 look to be Kirkland, Bain, Ale, Wattenburg and Fautanu with plenty of others who will be in the rotation. A lot of unknowns but, on paper, plenty of talent.
WR - B: Puka, Ty Jones, Spiker, Bynum, Osbourne with some younger guys who could/should come in and impress if our offensive scheme is what it claims to be.
TE - B+: Otton is the premier guy here but plenty of other young guys who, on paper, should be able to come in and contribute.
Defense - B+: Coach K back at the helm, tons of starters returning. I would give this position group and A but the linebackers are a question mark.
DL - B+: The entire DL rotation comes back from last year plus a bunch of young, talented guys to start mixing in.
LB - C+: Bob Gregory is still the coach so for all we know we'll have walk-ons playing the first half of the season but, on paper, plenty of young talent. Throwing Tryon in here who everyone expects to take the step to being an elite player but, at this point, it's all pretty much just "potential" for him.
DB - A: Tons of talent. I honestly think this position group could be up there with the 2016 group in terms of raw talent. This group has better depth than 2016.

Lol
Offense: D / B+...The QB room has three game snaps between them and the guys there have good arms but major concerns. The OC is...well...that's been covered. The rest of the offense will, I think, be as good as the QB and scheme allow it to be.
QB: F / C...OTOH Sirmon is a big, strong armed QB who may have learned something in his time at UW, or Garbers (winner with diverse abilities) could shock everyone and be good right away.
OL: C / B+...OL recruiting has been good and the new starters should all be well groomed and ready to rumble. Finally UW is deep enough on the OL that there are talented and experienced reserves sliding into starting spots rather than having to count on new faces to be ready.
RB: C+ / B...I consider Newton and McGrew to be solid but not special. They wont hurt but wont be carrying the offense or busting out for game winning 80 yarders. The hope is that Cam Davis is good and I think he is. Could even exceed a B.
WR: C+ / A-...Jones, Spiker and Osborne could all still be solid to good. That's a nice big group of fairly athletic guys that still have time to put it together now that the coach's pets are gone. Then there's Nacua and McMillan who both have star written all over them. The two other fresh should be redshirts.
TE: B- / A-...Otton is great and Kizer is a useful player. Those are two knowns. We're counting on Redman to be ready and or Culp to figure something out to make this an A group though.
Defense: B / A...B as the floor assumes at least better LB play all year. The rest is good so the coaches...Gregory and Harris...will have to choke bad for the D to finish with less than a B grade.
DL...B+ / A...Something has to go wrong to keep this from being at least an A-. The interior is stacked in layers. The most talented guys are the youngest ones who havent seen the field yet, but it could be an A without them.
OLB..B- / A-...Tryon should be a star, Latu is an amazing prospect with some experience, and Bowman should be relegated to situational use with a couple of promising young guys due to earn more snaps. This group isn't stacked with proven depth yet but it's gotten closer than ever.
ILB...D / C+...Theres a former walken who everyone likes and who has played some good ball, two guys with experience at being pretty shitty but who are still worth some hope, and a couple of RS freshmen. The talent is better than last year, but hasnt proven much.
DB...A- / A+...The safeties were a weakness last season but we were counting on true freshmen and a 5'7" former walkon. Now Williams and the tall one have some experience, Cook has had time to learn the defense (he's a big, fast dude don't write him off), and Irvin is healthy. The cornerback group has amazingly good prospects struggling to earn snaps and the starters are ridiculous. If Harris is competent this should be a juggernaut position group.
Specialists: C / B+...just make the fucking FGs inside 40 yards.
Fucking TL/DR novel. Sorry. I dont feel like working today.
