The professor's email didn't even brand this request as outrageous or racist -- which it is.
Instead, he merely offered pragmatic, how-would-I-even-implement-this reasons to refuse the demand:
Thanks for your suggestion in your email below that I give black students special treatment, given the tragedy in Minnesota,' he wrote.
'Do you know the names of the classmates that are black? How can I identify them since we've been having online classes only?
'Are there any students that may be of mixed parentage, such as half black-half Asian? What do you suggest I do with respect to them? A full concession or just half?'
See? That's "disturbing."
Offering a polite refusal of a Black Supremacist's demand -- not instantly Kneeling for the One True Master Race -- is now an offense worthy of suspension.
On the other hand, it's not disturbing that he's now under 24-hour police protection due to credible threats from the racial supremacists and Maoist revolutionaries:
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reportedly has an increased police presence outside Klein's home after multiple threats.
At least 20,000 people signed a petition calling for Klein's removal after a student who wasn't in the class posted the email exchange on social media.
Klein was asked for a "no-harm" final exam, shortened exams, and extended deadlines for final assignments and projects due to "traumas" that put students in the class "in a position where we must choose between actively supporting our black classmates or focusing on finishing up our spring quarter," according to screenshots obtained by Inside Higher Ed.

It's now illegal to say that white students might not be racist, and that white people might be emotionally harmed by the constant racist assertion that they are born in unexpurgable racial sin.
We are now literally at the poing where federal taxpayer funded schools are suspending professors for refusing to give certain students special awards based on skin color.
This is full on black supremacism -- if it were whites demanding special favors for being white, everyone would see this, and everyone would rush to condemn it as the racism it clearly is.
Even the milquetoast clock-watchers and check-cashers and Full Time Twitter Addicts of the Conservative Establishment.
But because denouncing this would require them to offend one of the left's most sacred dogmas -- that you cannot be racist against whites, because whites are born of sin and deserve any contempt or violent assault they get -- they say nothing. See, saying something like that, saying that all races, including the whiter ones, are not to be claimed to be unworthy based solely on skin color is called by the left some kind of "extremist alt-right white supremacism position," and ergo, the cowards and cucks that make up the Republican Establishment defer and submit.
The left tells them that there are certain things they are not permitted to disagree about, or else the left will withdraw its grudging tolerance for them, and they obey the left like a dog obeys a chain leash.
So the Democrats will continue pushing anti-white racism and black supremacism, and the Republicans will... say a few words about what a swell guy George Floyd was, and that maybe we should have more Jack Kemp style Enterprise Zones.

I think we'll be fine. As always, when the obvious implications of really, really, really stupid suggestions and points of view begin to manifest, even a little, people will get real.
If there's no money in it, the real power in this country won't actually do something, but will satiate the masses with superficial assuaging responses.
Here's something that I think will alter life as we know it in the not-too-distant future: private companies are getting more and more massive (where are you FTC and DOJ?), and they are being owned by fewer and fewer massive capital aggregators that are getting more and more massive.
So what does regular life look like when capital is pooled in massive funds run by a few people and is applied to own and control fewer and fewer companies?
Look how many start-ups Microsoft swallowed up just because. My old LS and law firm classmate bugged out of private practice to go over there as AGC and do nothing but M&A work on small acquisitions. They'd make tons of people kinda wealthy and eat up potential competition by buying it out of existence. That's what massive corporations sitting on mountains of capital do.
THAT, in my opinion, is foreboding shit, the implications of which I can't really tally up. And that is a clear trend.
The hyperbole over this stuff will wane. Nobody is getting rid of the cops, and people will stop getting on their knees and apologizing. We may see a healthy new round of affirmative action at all levels, but that's about it IMO. I don't see a fundamental societal shift coming from this. It (racial tensions) is a relatively old issue in the US, and it periodically needs to vent a little steam. That's what this is.
I've seen race riots before. This is not new, though I admit some of the responses are.
