Typical: NPR Plays Coronavirus Card on Trump Campaign Rally Announcement Days After Fawning Protest Coverage

It’s no big secret that the mainstream media have been massive hypocrites with their glowing coverage of the George Floyd protests in contrast with how they scolded and ripped Reopen marchers just weeks ago and mask-shamed Alabama beachgoers not long after that.

But sometimes their double standards are so glaringly obvious that they must be pointed out, not only to show skeptics of media bias allegations that there is truth behind the claims, but also to document them for the record.

Such was the case with NPR this week after the Trump campaign announced President Trump would be back on the campaign trail and holding rallies later this month. Here’s a pretty straight-up report from CBS News on the campaign’s announcement:

President Trump is set to return to his campaign’s signature rallies in the next two weeks after a three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. Advisers to the president’s re-election campaign are still parsing through locations and venues for the traditionally packed rallies, as well as safety measures to be implemented.

Mr. Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale plans to present the president with options for an upcoming campaign tour this week. “Americans are ready to get back to action and so is President Trump,” Parscale said in a statement. “The great American comeback is real and the rallies will be tremendous. You’ll again see the kind of crowds and enthusiasm that sleepy Joe Biden can only dream of.”

Here’s how NPR “covered” it – by suddenly remembering the Wuhan virus was a thing:
