that might be true but the press will have brainwashed the majority 80% to believe all this shit. I say the 20% will become closer to 40% by election season. So if 40% support this, election will be in their favor - assuming the usual 30% turnout

Never under estimate the ability of guilty white liberals to be cowed into supporting nonsense. We've already decriminalized most crime here in SF, it would hardly be shocking if they just got rid of or cut severely the funding for police.

I texted my friend who lives in Seattle and asked him how he was going to like a city with no police. He had no idea that that was on the table or could even be a thing. I feel like a lot of Seattleites just check the Demo box on a ballot and then forget that they did it until the next election. Until he gets the petition in the mail asking for a donation for the private Montlake neighborhood security he won't even know what's going on or care. I used to skim the candidate platforms on each political side and bounce between parties. I might just vote Republican or libertarian down the line this year because the Dems have lost their fucking minds. I'm at a loss.
