This doesn't end well for Minneapolis.

Seattle's City Council is just as left. I'm sure they will vote on this as well.

Effects if Seattle does this:
- Housing prices plummet.
- Amazon and other tech moves out.
- Homeless take over completely

Perhaps this would be perceived as a good result by the rats.

Public employee unions are a cancer on the taxpayers. A fucking cancer. Underperformers are protected and allowed to perpetuate inefficiencies in the government. Virtually impossible to fire a union employee in a government job.

I agree but it also goes both ways. I was a public employee and then a union for 12 years. I got outstanding reviews every year...but there is absolutely no merit increase or bonus attached as opposed to the private sector which is totally demoralizing. It was always “thanks....this review/meeting doesn’t mean anything but I appreciate the feedback.”
