Here is where the protests lose me.

1- The 'protestors' demand justice and for police to be held accountable for their actions. Presumably this means criminal charges and adequate consequences for their behavior.

2 - The 'protestors' destroy property, loot, commit arson and kill law enforcement officers.

Call it a quid pro quo - but 1 is completely discredited when 2 is effectuated.

Stop Item 2 and there is absolutely no one in their right mind who would object to 1.

Even if the sincere backers (BLM, DNC, Biden, whoever) would disavow those who partake in Item 2. But they don't so it turns into Logan Roy time:

If you were in the NFL you’d have to go to the cornfield and apologize for such a tone deaf statement, that it really doesn’t represent your values, and that you are learning and will try to do better. Then you just hope that apology is enough and that it isn’t rejected by mob.
