CNN Admits Defeat - front page story
Props to them for their, albeit, passive aggressive coverage of this story on their front page:
"A month after reopening, Georgia coronavirus cases continue slow and steady"
https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/26/us/georgia-coronavirus/index.html
Some health experts worried that the reopening, combined with the state's limited testing capability, could lead to an increase in cases that could overwhelm hospitals, such as happened in Albany, Georgia, in the early days of the pandemic.
So far, that fear has not been borne out. The preliminary data suggests that reopening has not led to a spike in cases -- but the virus has continued to steadily infect people and shows no signs of waning.

Any chance that this "steady" infection has to do with more people being tested? And by every meaning of the word the virus is "waning" fuck off CNN
Today they had 26. Fuck off Dazzler. Infections, despite increased testing has gone from 945 to 26 but in the land of lying worthless Kunt's the virus isn't "waning."
And I don't know where you got 26 new infections. Georgia reported 583 new cases and 47 deaths just today.
583 > 26, or so I’m told.

“Thanks to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, we now know things did indeed look too good to be true. Georgia’s coronavirus numbers looked so rosy because officials misrepresented the data in such a way it's difficult to believe it wasn't done on purpose.”

Make sure to check back next week
Fucking assholes.
The numbers you are referencing are a running 7 day average of confirmed cases and again those numbers are up because of more testing. I have been cautiously optimistic that we did the right thing. For my friends who are small business owners we absolutely did the right thing. As of right now, people can post all the yahoo and CNN articles they want that are attempting to make the GA Gov decision to open up a month ago look bad but the results and the trends speak for themselves. So far the decision has been a winner. If I was in OR with only 150 deaths and low transmission rates I would be extremely upset with my Governor and the damage that has been done to the economy.
