Sounds like Harris and Brown are majorly crashing and burning in recruiting. This guy, McClucheons, and now a new low ranked CB named Chance Tucker have all gotten offers this week. Rivals is unreliable but they just had an article saying UW is running 3rd for Denzel Butke behind Oregon and SC. He's probably the only really good db we have a decent shot at

Burke is essentially a must get at this point. Get Burke and McCutcheon and this class looks good still. McCutcheon and Djungo Unchained and it looks pretty weak.
We should be surprised 2 very green coaches are getting blown out competing against big boys?
I dont think I'd classify Harris as "very green". This will be his 3rd year at UW and 5th as a D-1 db coach on the west coast. He coached dbs at smaller colleges before that. It's not like he was pulled up from being a GA this year and is learning as he goes. There are also plenty examples of "green" coaches who have killed it in recruiting. He should be doing better than he is.

Exactly. The problem with Harris isn’t his lack of experience it’s his lack of success.
But this is also his first cycle where he is the guy as a DB recruiting face ... and I don’t compare coaching at San Jose St as experience (experience should be something like San Jose St to a a San Diego St to like an Arizona to a Washington) ... you move up as you show success and the ability to perform both on the field and in recruiting
Prior to this year, his responsibilities seemed more tilted in building inroads and connections to extend our recruiting footprint instead of actually closing on recruits

Yeah, it's definitely a step up. The really disappointing thing, though is that the general consensus when Harris was hired was "this is a good hire". Had some success with his players at SJSU, had LA ties, younger African American coach with some experience, and the most important thing, Jimmy Lake gets to mold this guy into his successor. The assumption was Jimmy would continue to be lead recruiter for the guys he had established relationships with and Harris would start working on the 2021, 2022 kids. Clearly that didn't happen. It's hard to understand, too. I've seen interviews with Harris and he seems like a charismatic guy. Maybe hes just a really shitty salesman or is a lazy recruiter. In either case, if our db class ends up being 3 middleweight 3-star dbs that Bob Gregory could have landed, he should be gone or demoted.

OFFER CEYAIR WRIGHT!!!!!!
He's got great pipes but I doubt he'd be a good safety...
