Several come to mind, Van Halen, “Panama City”, Quiet Riot, “Comon feel the noise”, AC/DC, GNR, DEF Leppard, ZZ Top, Poison, CCR, LED Zepplin, Eagles, yada yada..... but I remember these boyz. Wrecked my pops brand new truck on a rainy night in Maltby The souf ....and punched the gas with one my pods at the passenger seat encouraging and wasn’t a good deal....slid sideways and off road. Truck was less than a week old.
I discovered My ass was made of meat....

Day 16, a song discovered by yourself as a tween: Christmas, third grade. My grandma decides to give me a tape player and a copy of Billy Joel’s An Innocent Man. My aunt doubles down by giving me a copy of Air Supply’s Greatest Hits.
Shout out to my dads for making sure the third album I had to explore on my own devices was slightly more age appropriate.

One of my jr high teachers / coaches bought a house in our neighborhood as I was moving into high school. He was 2-3 yrs out of college, and a cool guy. One day, some buddies and I were heading out to fuck around and saw him painting his house...LSS, we stopped to help him. He was cranking tunes, and suddenly this song came on...and I’ve been a Joe Walsh guy ever since.
DISCLAIMER: There were NO clothes removed, showers taken, or Rhythmic Slapping Noises heard, during the creation (or re-creation, for that matter) of this story...

Day 16, not sure if this is the actual song, but discovering The Mono Men was a big musical deal for me.

Day 16, and I was 16.
Busta Rhymes existed on the charts at this time, but only Woo Ha!!, which was kind of a gimmicky song that I never got into. In 1996, I was up late watching Yo! MTV Raps (remember that!?), and up comes this gem from the Fugees, Tribe Called Quest, and with Busta Rhymes making you forget all of the above with the last verse:

Back then, because I was a poor, I used to just record MTV hip hop shows to VHS, then output that to the tape recorder to make mix tapes for the car. The above song went straight into rotation.
And I went straight to the record store to pick up Busta Rhymes' first solo album. And then this song completely melted my mind:

The Throbber discovered the choreography to this before hearing the tune itself.
