How brave of the mayor. All shootings were black on black crimes. They had nothing to do with the open carry law or Covid-19. With Covid-19 in place, he has additional powers as mayor and he is using that to move his political agenda forward and that is not right.

The argument is nonsense. He claims that due to the open carry law, criminals can carry illegal arms in plain sight and there is no way for the police to determine whether the gun is illegal or not. That is a bunch of crap. The police can pull the license of anyone with an open carry. He claims that the open carry makes it impossible to root out illegal firearms. How in the hell does that make sense?

"Repeal the Open Carry law which makes it impossible for law enforcement to root out illegal firearms on our streets".

Again, he never addressed black on black crime. The classic liberal move to blame an inanimate object for the deaths of people. It requires no change of behavior in the community. Zero heavy lifting. He just thinks it is the open carry law's fault. He even says at the end of his bullshit:

"How many babies do we have to bury to appease someone’s desire to open carry?”

Sure thing mayor, it is the open carry law and not the black on black crime and lack of respect for life.
