Maybe Cuomo should be leading the charge for term limits if his vagina is so sandy.

Let the states go bankrupt. The governors are in charge. They made the choice because "the illness equals death".

JFC. What a bunch of losers. Red or blue. If the made the choice, live with it

I'm more interested in what he said. How is it that NY puts in $116mil more than it gets and Kentucky takes $148mil more than it gives? Is that true? WTF? I agree with letting Kentucky go bankrupt. Would anyone notice?

Funny thing is, States are going to need Legislative support and Trumps signature in order to BK
Dems could run on Bailout vs BK and let the voters decide

Without looking into it it's probably one of those usual completely out of context stats that gets parroted by teenagers on Reddit but has nothing to do with the actual states themselves.

I'm sure there's a deep dive analysis out there that breaks it down exactly, but this shouldn't be a surprising stat. NY has some of the wealthiest citizens in the country who contribute way more in taxes than they take in federal entitlements. A 40 year old investment banker pulling in seven figures is going to be giving a lot more than he's taking.

Kentucky would unsurprisingly be on the other side of that calculation.

NYC is in dept to the tune of $81,800 per household. Yes I said $81,800 per. Those are 2019 numbers, well before coronavirus. De Blasio in all of his wisdom upped the spending many billions and has exasperated the situation in a very short time. I guarantee the situation is much worse right now.

Southern NY and Jersey have well over half the deaths associated with coronavirus country wide. They clearly weren't prepared. As if that wasn't bad enough, NY'ers ran from the state to NC, GA, and FL and spread more sickness costing those states some big bucks.

New Yorkers are abandoning the state at a fast rate. They understand that the high taxes and the debt are not sustainable.

California is bankrupt. They will never be able to take care of their obligations for their fat public employee retirement plans they killed the private sector with.

We were at all time highs in the stock markets which is where state financial planners invest state dollars. It has not helped. They are still essentially bankrupt.

I will give Cuomo some credit. He tried to cut the states annual budget over spend but they still run in the red over 4 billion a year and that number is supposed to grow to 8 billion a year in 1.5 years. They know they are teetering on bankruptcy yet they still deficit spend without solving any problems.

I site all of this because no rat wants to answer a simple question: Why should I pay for continual mismanagement by liberal politicians?

We all know bankruptcy won't change anything. The rats will still elect fiscally irresponsible politicians who win elections by promising free shit. 1 year after coming out of bankruptcy, dem pols will start down the same path because they don't get elected without promising free shit, and free shit needs money from nowhere to deliver.

You don't relieve states that are fiscally irresponsible. It is irresponsible.

Telling that IC thinks a Gov. who is begging the Federal Government for money is in IC's mind telling them "fuck off."

Tend to agree. But I'd much rather play beer pong with anyone from Kentucky. So there's that.
