The state’s hospitals are making an urgent plea to Gov. Jay Inslee to allow them to open up fully. Right now many are sitting idle because the surge of COVID-19 cases didn’t materialize.
The Army mobile hospital sent to Seattle to handle the possible overflow was sent to another part of the country. And the Washington State Hospital Association says the governor's ban on elective surgeries and other procedures is leaving many of the state’s 100 hospitals with little to do.
